Terms of Use

Last Updated: July 17, 2026      Effective Date: July 17, 2026

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at https://ymllawfirm.com, together with all content, features, and functionality available through it (collectively, the “Site”), which is owned and operated by YL Law Firm (“YL Law Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), 110 N Wacker Dr., Suite 2500, Chicago, IL 60606. By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Site.

1. No Attorney-Client Relationship

The Site is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site is intended to, and nothing on the Site shall, create an attorney-client relationship between you and YL Law Firm. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when YL Law Firm expressly agrees to represent you, typically through a signed engagement letter, and after we have confirmed that no conflict of interest exists.

Submitting information through our contact, consultation request, or appointment forms, calling our office, or emailing us does not create an attorney-client relationship or any duty of confidentiality on our part. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information to us through the Site or by unencrypted email until an attorney-client relationship has been formally established. Unsolicited communications from non-clients may not be treated as privileged or confidential.

2. Not Legal Advice; Attorney Advertising

The content available on the Site, including articles, practice area descriptions, and any other materials, is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Legal information is not the same as legal advice, and the application of law varies depending on the specific facts and circumstances involved. You should not act, or refrain from acting, based on information on the Site without first seeking legal advice from a qualified attorney licensed in the relevant jurisdiction regarding your particular situation. Nothing on this Site should be interpreted as creating any guarantee regarding the outcome of any legal matter.

Information on the Site may be changed, added to, or removed at any time without notice, and is not guaranteed to be complete, current, or accurate. This website may constitute attorney advertising under applicable laws or rules of professional conduct in certain jurisdictions. Prior results described or referenced on the Site, if any, do not guarantee a similar outcome in any future matter, as each case depends on its own particular facts and circumstances. Any testimonials, reviews, or endorsements displayed on the Site reflect the individual experiences of the persons providing them and do not constitute a guarantee, warranty, or prediction regarding the outcome of any current or future legal matter.

3. Eligibility

The Site is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and “you” will refer to both you and that organization.

4. Intellectual Property

The Site and all content available through it, including text, graphics, logos, images, page layout, design, and software (collectively, the “Content”), are the property of YL Law Firm or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. “YL Law Firm” and any associated logos are trademarks or service marks of YL Law Firm and may not be used without our prior written permission.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Content on the Site for your personal, non-commercial, informational use only. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, republish, sell, or otherwise exploit any Content for any public or commercial purpose without our prior written consent, except that you may print or download a single copy of Content for your own personal, non-commercial reference, provided that you retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained in the original Content. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by YL Law Firm.

  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

6. Submissions and Contact Forms

If you submit information through our contact forms, testimonials, or similar features, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to submit it. The Site may contain links to third-party websites, or embedded third-party content or tools (such as maps, scheduling widgets, review platforms, or social media features), provided for your convenience. We do not control, endorse, or assume any responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any linked or embedded third-party sites or services. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and our Privacy Policy with respect to privacy matters, the Privacy Policy will govern.

9. Geographic Scope

We make no representation that the Site, or any Content available through it, is appropriate, accurate, or available for use in other locations. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INDEPENDENTLY VERIFYING ANY INFORMATION BEFORE RELYING ON IT. NO INFORMATION ON THE SITE IS INTENDED TO REPLACE INDIVIDUALIZED LEGAL ADVICE FROM A LICENSED ATTORNEY. YOUR USE OF THE SITE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YL LAW FIRM AND ITS ATTORNEYS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SITE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS IS INTENDED TO EXCLUDE OR LIMIT ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR FRAUD OR FOR MATTERS GOVERNED BY THE ILLINOIS RULES OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT OR OTHER APPLICABLE RULES OF PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless YL Law Firm and its attorneys, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

13. Copyright Complaints
